Target Audience
The target audience for this DVD are physicians and sonographers who have a desire to learn emerging 2D ultrasound imaging techniques for coronary artery disease, cardiomypathies, and pericardial disease.
Objectives
After viewing this video presentation, the participant should be able to:
1. Discuss basic principles of coronary artery disease and interpretative scoring of left ventricular regions each coronary artery supplies as seen by 2D and stress echocardiography.
2. Explain the etiology of pericardial effusions and what you need to look for in order to rule out cardiac tamponade.
3. Differentiate between causes and types of cardiomyopathies using secondary 2D echo findings to determine treatment and surgical intervention.
